It is important to understand endodontist treatment process and stages, this will make the hole procedure a lot easier.

Endodontist treatment stages:

As we told you, endodontist  treatment is performed in three sessions, one session a week. Why?
Because the sick tooth should be allowed to heal before it is finally closed.

In the first session:

Endodontist remove the nerve from the tooth canals, rinse and insert antibiotics if necessary.
Most of the pain goes away, except for the “touch pain” we already talked about, do not touch !!
Do not forget, do not bite on the tooth. Not even by mistake!

In the second session:

Endodontist  begins preparation of the tooth root, expansion and thorough cleaning of the canals and then filling (root filling).
Note that after this session there may be toothache as a result of the pressure exerted from the root canal filling.
This pain usually passes within 24 hours. Do not touch the tooth at all. In the meantime, take a painkiller.

In the third session:

The easiest meeting. Endodontist restore the tooth again and if necessary add a dental post to strength the tooth.
After this session you can go back to eating regularly on this tooth but carefully.

Meanwhile thats it, the root endodontist  treatment is complete.

Why am I saying “meanwhile” ?

A tooth that has undergone root canal treatment is weakened and can break! It is recommended to protect the tooth with a crown.
The crown “hugs” the tooth and keeps it strong and beautiful as well. You do not have to perform the crown immediately, you can wait a short time to check that everything is in order and the tooth is functioning and then come and take measurements for the crown.
