In previous article we spoke about sensitive teeth phenomen. How the diagnosis is made and why does it happen. we started taking about dentin exposure reasons. we mention 1 reason: teeth grinding. In this article we will talk about more reasons of dentin exposure.

Sensitive teeth due to dentin exposure reasons:

Aggressive brushing:

Brushing teeth vigorously or brushing with a coarse brush or electric brush can damage the tooth material, even the gums.

pay attention:
Even brushing with an aggressive ointment with a high abrasive coefficient can cause damage to the enamel and the appearance of sensitive teeth!

For example: whitening toothpastes that are marketed everywhere throughout the internet. These ointments do whiten the teeth quickly and beautifully but cause damage to the enamel, as a result the teeth are sensitive and the teeth also turn yellow very quickly due to the erosion of the enamel that protects the teeth from staining.

smoking:

Smoking impairs the blood supply to the soft tissues, as a result of which the gums “shrink” (receding gums) and then the dentin is exposed and the teeth are sensitive.

Dental scaling:

Have you ever felt your teeth very sensitive after dental treatment? It’s not because the dentist is not good or the doctor ruined your teeth! This is because of dentin overload!

The tartar settles in the cervix near the gums and causes irritation to the gums which causes receding gums. The tartar sticks to the place of the receding gums and so far there is no sensitivity. Once the tartar is removed the sensitivity appears.

You may be thinking to yourself:
I would leave the tartar and save myself from sensitivity!
This is not true! The dental tartar has already caused damage that may be repairable. If you leave it longer, the damage will increase and you may suffer from loss of stability of the tooth, even tooth loss!
